After my race in Waco I decided it was time to focus on my running. Couple reasons; At that time the longest running distance I had was 13.1. And I decided to sign up for my first Full Ironman in 2020. I also, signed up for my first full marathon 26.2 miles.
About a week after I came home from Waco, I had toenail surgery on both big toes. 5 days after this, toes still in bandages and wounds not really healed, I decided to run a half marathon! Why you ask? Well, I had already signed up for the race.. seemed like a good reason to me.
That day I ended up running my fastest half marathon!

November was packed full of weekly long runs with my run club and a couple more races. Every long run was a first for me. Itβs pretty incredible to see how your body adjusts and more importantly how quickly you recovery. Come to find out recovery is the key. Your body needs to be able to recover so it can perform to its fullest capacity.
